I made this in my studio in Australi, focusing on the idea of protection. I’ve always seen snakes as symbols of rebirth and shedding the old. Pairing that with Black Onyx, a stone known for absorbing negative energy and providing inner strength, felt like the perfect match.

The Black Onyx has a deep, ink-black polish that looks incredible against the bright, hand-finished sterling silver.

The snake design wraps comfortably around the stone, creating a sculptural look that feels both ancient and modern.

How to care for your Black Onyx Snake Ring

Since this is a ring, it’ll see a lot of action! Here is how I keep mine looking its best:

• Onyx is a hardy stone, but it likes a quick wipe with a damp cloth every now and then to keep its deep black shine.
• Silver naturally patinas over time, which actually looks great in the "scales" of the snake, but if you want the high points to pop, a quick rub with a silver cloth does the trick.
• I usually take my rings off before gardening, gym sessions, or using harsh cleaning chemicals to protect the stone’s surface.
